"This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you— if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination. For an overseer, as God's steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, but hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined. He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it." At City View, we are very blessed to have godly men that help provide oversight and wisdom for the people of our congregation. In addition to Lead Pastor Marc Sharp, our elders include:
Daryl Edwards 
Daryl graduated from Plains High School (Plains, Texas) in 1967 and went on to attend West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M University) in Canyon, Texas, graduating in 1971. 
He married Judy in 1991, and together they have 6 children.
Since graduating College, Daryl has worked in commercial steel fabrication as an estimator and a project manager with various companies. 
Daryl has a heart for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and has served as an encourager to our staff and many in our congregation, as well as being a voice constantly calling us to excellence in everything we do. He has great attention to detail and tremendous patience to see things done right.  


Kirk Schneider

Kirk Schneider was born in Lubbock in 1952.  He grew up attending the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Lubbock.  In 1980 he met his wife Kathy.  They have been married 30 years and have four grown children. Kirk and his family began attending City View Christan Fellowship starting with it's first meeting.
Kirk enjoys traveling, watching Texas Tech Red Raider sports, listening to music or reading a good book.
In 1981 Kirk became a Realtor and in 1990 started a career in the commercial real estate business in which he presently works. 
Kirk brings tremendous sensitivity to the spiritual side of every decision that faces City View. He is a determined worshipper and intercessory prayer. He approaches life and all it's challenges with a keen awareness of the bigness of our God.   


Johnny Newman

Johnny was born in Odessa, Texas, but his father moved the family to California when he was just a little over 1 year old. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1970. He attended American River Junior College and Idaho State University.
Johnny worked as a Federal Fire Fighter in Idaho before moving back to Texas in 1997. He enjoys golf and watching his Grandchildren play sports. He and Vikki, his wife of over 40 years, have two grown sons and four Grandchildren.
Johnny has served in many roles at City View: Small Group Leader, Men's Ministry, Worship Team, etc. Johnny has both a calling and a heart to serve, with a foremost interest in benefitting the people of City View. 
He has a strong desire to continue to grow in the Lord and enjoys being a part of the team ministering to the people at City View.
