In the fall of 2003, City View Christian Fellowship began a journey that will soon culminate into a beautiful first facility! It has been a long, sometimes faith-testing time, but momentum is building with a projected goal of having Sunday services by late spring. We have acquired 65 acres in west Lubbock just south of Westwind Elementary and north of the new shopping area called Canyon West. Milwaukee Avenue is currently under construction and will be finished in plenty of time for our grand opening.
After purchasing the land, the people of City View, young and old, big and small, each took a rock out to the property. Each rock was written with a name, scripture or a word signifying what God would do through this land. As the people gathered on that Sunday, the rocks were piled together as a symbol of worship to God for how He would use us, His living stones, as a testimony to His faithfulness. It will always be a reminder that no matter how many buildings are built on this property, it is the people who are the church.
